Suhail Bahwan Group’s Bilad Oman Factory at Sohar officially inaugurated |

H.E. Darwish Bin Ismail Al Balushi, Secretary General at the Ministry of Finance officially inaugurated Bilad Oman’s Sohar factory on 23rd December 2009. Also gracing the occasion was H.E. Engineer Ahmed Bin Hassan Al Dheeb, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The function was also attended by Sheikh Said Bin Hamdi Al Harthy, Deputy Wali of Sohar and Sheikh Ahmed Suhail Bahwan, MD of Suhail Bahwan Group along with a number of Officials, Businessmen and Sheikhs of Al Batina region.
| Bilad Oman has been the leading steel structure and pre-engineered building manufacturing company of Oman for over three decades and is a part of multi billion dollar Suhail Bahwan Group. The Sohar factory that was officially inaugurated on 23 December is the recent investment by Bilad Oman in creating a modern and highly automated manufacturing facility. The Steel Structures designed, manufactured and erected by Bilad Oman over the years can be widely seen among Oil and Gas projects, Industrial projects, Commercial and Public buildings in Oman. The inauguration was on the occasion of continued 39th National Day Celebrations for which only a few select factories in Oman were chosen for official opening by the government. 
The message delivered on this occasion on behalf of chairman Sheikh Suhail Bahwan and on behalf of Managing Director Sheikh Ahmed Bahwan highlighted, “ We must re-assert our Group’s whole-hearted support for His Majesty’s vision for diversifying the Oman Economy through meaningful industrialization and value added enterprises. It is in line with this vision of His Majesty’s that the Suhail Bahwan Group has enunciated its own constant journey towards building, owning and representing world class businesses and brands internationally.”
Speaking on the occasion Mr Divyendu Kumar, Advisor to the Chairman of Suhail Bahwan Group, said, “It may not be an exaggeration to say that Bilad’s Sohar factory must be among the most automated not only in Oman but in the entire Middle East. This naturally leads to an extremely high and consistent quality of output that the Bilad Oman factory can provide to its customers. In addition, we take pride in the people at Bilad who have made this manufacturing organization a successful venture.”

Growth and strong systems orientation will be the driving factors for Bilad in the coming years.
